Big silk and Himachali Merino Wool Shawl – Golden Sand

Sale price1.980,00 kr

Light as a feather, warm and so soft. Traditionally handwoven in Himachal Pradesh, the Himalayas.

The wool is purchased directly from the shepherds in the mountains of Kullu and Kanga district. Carding, spinning, and weaving are done in the traditional way on old looms called KHADDI here. The weaving technique is unique and is passed down from generation to generation. The weavers belong to their own small clan.

Mixing the wool with silk makes this shawl light and warm at the same time.

Here, the dyeing is done with environmentally friendly modern pigments to stay in and maintain the brightness for a long time.

A perfect shawl all year round!
