Knotted in the Shibori technique, dyed with real indigo and handwoven in cotton batiste - it can't get any better!
Shibori is a batik technique that dates back to the 8th century in Japan where indigo was also used as a dye. At Aranya, people have learned the shibori technique from masters from Japan and the USA. The plants are picked from the fields outside and prepared in a so-called water, deep thin, with regular stirring according to the own recipe.
Everything is a craft from idea to finished product carried out in large, airy premises in the middle of the Cardamom Mountains in southern India. Wear the sarong around the waist, across the chest or as a big lovely shawl, use as a sleeping mat on the beach - the range of uses is endless...

Indigo Blue - the indigo plant
