Striped Handwoven Shawl from Kashmir - Green mix olive, ocher
Beautifully irregularly striped, feathery, warm and so soft.
Traditionally handwoven in Kashmir. The wool is bought directly from the shepherds in the mountains of Ladakh district. Carding, spinning and weaving takes place in the traditional way in old looms which are here called KHADDI. The weaving technique is unique and is passed down from generation to generation.
Blending wool with silk makes this shawl light and warm at the same time. Here, the coloring takes place with environmentally adapted modern pigments to sit in and maintain the luminous power for a long time. A perfect shawl all year round!
