Pashmina Shawl from Ladakh, Kashmir – Exclusive 100 x 200 cm, Light Pink

Sale price2.900,00 kr

Handwoven exclusive pashmina wool from goats at 4000 meters altitude - the world's softest!

This large pashmina shawl is the result of the most beautiful craftsmanship. The fine wool from the goats of the Ladakh region is carded, spun and woven by hand by the nomads of the area. An ancient process passed down from generation to generation.

Weaving the thin wool is a work of art in itself that requires a great deal of skill. The wool comes from the so-called underwool closest to the goat's body. The fine thin wool keeps goats warm up to 4,500 meters when the snow storms blow in the area. Each goat sheds an extremely small part of this fine wool, so-called down wool, which is then picked by nomads on thorny bushes in the Ladakh region of Kashmir.

Use as the most beautiful shawl or as the prettiest, warmest cape all year round. The pashmina wool is light, softest soft and keeps warm in winter as well as cool summer evenings.
