Exclusive, Large Shawl of the Softest, Naturally Dyed Pashmina Wool – Grey Fog

Sale price3.600,00 kr

Hand-woven, exclusive pashmina wool from goats grazing at 4000 metres altitude - the softest in the world!

This large shawl is the result of the finest craftsmanship from selecting the most exclusive and thin Kashmiri pashmina wool, to carding, spinning, weaving and naturally dyeing it with plants, flowers and minerals from the local area. The indigo plant is reaped from the surrounding fields and prepared in a deep, thin vat, stirred regularly according to a specific recipe.
The whole process from idea to finished product takes place in large, airy premises in the middle of the Cardamom Mountains in southern India.

Material: 100% Kashmiri Pashmina wool (thinner and more exclusive than typical Kashmiri wool due to resource goats raised at high elevation)
Size: 100 x 200 cm
Hem: Rolled edge

Natural Dyes:
11 Tea Waste- from post-harvest tea leaves
50 Indigo Blue – plant extracts
51 Grey Fog - eucalyptus

Origins: The garment is hand-spun, hand-woven and naturally dyed in the Cardamom Mountains of Kerala.
Production Time: 55 days (pashmina wool - 50 days; hand spinning - 2 days; natural dyeing - 1 day; weaving, finishing, fringe cutting, labelling - 2 days)

Durability and care: The shawl is made entirely by hand from nature's vibrant materials and colours. Weaving and spinning by hand leads to the threads being wonderfully irregular, and the natural dyeing allows the colours to vary. Gently care for your new garment, and you will have a friend for life. Begin by hanging it out to air. When necessary, wash by hand in cold water and mild soap, then hang dry.
