Cotton block-printed kimono with indigo overdye

Sale price1.500,00 kr

Block-printed cotton kimono overdyed with natural indigo. An original Spirit of Threads design.

From inception to finished product, each stage in the process is a precise craft carried out by our friends in the middle of the Cardamom Hills of southern India. The cotton is grown and harvested in the Tamilnadu region of southern India. The block pattern is created through a batik method and then overdyed with organic indigo cultivated, grown, and harvested from around Aranya’s large, airy facility nestled amongst tea fields in Munnar, Kerala. The indigo plant is picked from the surrounding fields and prepared in a deep vat stirred regularly. The sewing also takes place here.

Straight design with large sewn-on pockets, generously wide sleeves, and an accompanying sash.

Don this beautiful kimono at a fancy party, wear as a luxurious bathrobe, or use for everyday wear.
